Traditional Tales

Children have been learning about their topic about ‘Traditional Tales.'

Pupils have read and learnt actions to the stories of Jack and the Beanstalk, The Enormous Turnip, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Gingerbread Man.

We have focussed on specific story language such as 'Once upon a time,' 'Fee Fi Fo Fum,' as well as looked at characters and story structure.

Children have acted out the traditional tales in small groups and have been re-writing their own story books using their phonic knowledge.

In Topic, the children have made 'Magic Beans' and made up a reason for why they are magic. Here are some for you to see.

Classes 1, 2 and 3, have also been doing some printing with vegetables and paint on the theme of 'The Enormous Turnip.'

The children are all really enjoying their 'Traditional Tales' topic and we hope the magic beans are all growing well at home.
