Weald and Downland Trip
Children from Year 1 stepped back in time to the Tudor age with a trip to the Weald and Downland Living Museum in West Sussex.
The trip was part of their 'Henry and Victoria' topic and the children experienced a lesson in a Victorian classroom.
They had a tour of the museum and explored the Tudor houses and as well as the beautiful countryside.
Pupils were taught how to light a fire from scratch to keep the houses warm.
They were also set to work completing chores such as making a bed, polishing the brass and silver and cleaning the carpets.
Children were given a tour of the garden where they used to grow their own food.
