Army Assembly

Children from Langstone Infant Academy had a very special visitor as part of their fundraising effort for Red, White and Blue Day.

Corporal Hazel Colville, who currently serves as a musician in the army, told the whole school all about life in the services at an assembly dedicated to the forces.

Children had a chance to learn about different jobs within the army and try on different hats worn by the services as part of the assembly.

The assembly was linked to the school’s fundraising Red, White and Blue day when all money will go towards the service charities - Royal Navy & Royal Marines, ABF Soldiers charity and Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

Children from Year 2 had a special question and answer session after the assembly and had the chance to try on army uniform.

Miss Owen joined the children in trying on the army uniform.

A huge thank you to Corporal Colville for coming to visit us at Langstone.
