Southsea Seafront Trip

Year 2 visited Southsea Seafront as part of their ‘Summer Holiday’ topic. During the day the children walked from the D-Day museum to Eastney or vice versa, lunching in the garden at Cumberland House.

The children looked at different types of transport in the Solent and drew detailed sketches of what they could see. The children walked along the seafront, stopping to discuss things they saw on the way. The children learnt about the rare vegetated shingle habitat and used pooters and magnifiers to look at the minibeasts that live there.
